More South Shore Redfish and Trout
The South Shore Fishing is Heating Up!
Taking advantage of the warmer weather and more suitable water temp's, we got out for a couple trips the past two weekends. Like everyone else, I've been eagerly anticipating the return of our usual springtime patterns and on one trip, I was encouraged to find a dozen red's (18"-22") where I'd normally expect to find them.
We scored again on some bigger trout, fishing low outgoing tides at the bottom of the tidal flow. While the redfish were found near the groves, the bigger trout were taken in potholes 1'-2' deep. The evening outgoing tides are the right time time to target these fish in the potholes and the best approach is to wade in if you can.

You may not find the numbers that you do with the smaller trout, but the few larger fish you may find should be well worth the trade-off.

This is a great sight to see, thanks for the report Nick!
